ElectrifyNow ("we," "us," or "our") operates electrifynow.io (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you use our savings calculator or submit our quote request form, you may provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • ZIP code
  • Home ownership status
  • Technologies you're interested in (e.g., solar, EV, heat pump, water heater)
  • Any additional notes you choose to include
  • Your monthly electric bill amount (used only to run the on-page savings estimate)

If you apply to join our installer network, you may also provide your company name, contact name, email address, phone number, primary service ZIP code, license number, website, and notes.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed, general location (city/region level), device type, and which features (like the savings calculator or quote form) are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data on our behalf under Google's Privacy Policy. This data is aggregated and is not used by us to identify you individually.

We also store your ZIP code in your browser's local storage so the calculator can remember it on your next visit. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you submit the quote form.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To run the savings calculator and show you personalized estimates
  • To connect you with local installers in our network when you opt in on the quote request form
  • To respond to inquiries you send us directly (e.g., via email)
  • To understand and improve how the Site is used

3. When We Share or Sell Your Information

We share or sell your personal information only in these cases:

  • Local installers (a “sale” or “share” under California law): If you check the consent box on the quote request form, the information you submitted (name, email, phone, ZIP code, home ownership status, technologies of interest, and notes) is provided to one or more independent, local installers in our network so they can contact you with a quote. Installers may pay us or provide other valuable consideration for these referrals, so this disclosure constitutes a “sale” and/or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out at any time via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. ElectrifyNow is not itself a contractor and does not perform installation work.
  • Service providers: We use Airtable to store and manage quote requests, and Google Analytics for site analytics. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ElectrifyNow, our users, or others.

4. Phone, Text, and Email Communications

When you check the consent box on our quote request form, you provide your express written consent for ElectrifyNow and one or more independent local installers in our network matched to your ZIP code to contact you at the phone number and email address you provided about your quote request. This contact may include live phone calls, text (SMS/MMS) messages, and emails, including calls or texts placed using automated telephone dialing technology or artificial/prerecorded voice, even if your number is listed on a federal, state, or company Do-Not-Call registry.

Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You may revoke your consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, telling the caller you wish to opt out, or emailing info@electrifynow.io. Revoking consent with one installer does not automatically revoke it with others or with ElectrifyNow; email us and we will process a full opt-out across the network.

If you apply to join our installer network, you similarly consent to ElectrifyNow contacting you by phone, text, or email — including through automated technology — about your application and network participation, with the same opt-out options.

5. Data Retention

We retain quote request information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose you submitted it for, or until you request deletion (see Section 7). We retain records of your communications consent and any revocation for as long as required by applicable law.

6. Cookies

The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the Site will still function, but analytics won't be able to attribute your visit.

7. Your Rights and Choices (Including California Privacy Rights)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain sharing. California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: As described in Section 3, providing your quote request information to installers who may pay us for referrals is a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. You may opt out at any time via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or by emailing info@electrifynow.io.
  • Right to know: You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom it was sold, shared, or disclosed. The categories we collect and sell/share are identifiers and contact details (name, email, phone, ZIP code) and commercial information (home ownership status, technologies of interest, notes); the recipients are the independent local installers in our network.
  • Right to delete and right to correct the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will never deny you our services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

You may submit any of these requests through our privacy request form or by emailing info@electrifynow.io, and you may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling access, deletion, or correction requests. We will confirm receipt and respond within the timeframes required by law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Note that if you opt out and later submit our quote request form with the consent box checked, that submission constitutes your consent to the specific disclosure it describes.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
